Cruisin Through Life With The One You Love

This past September I went on my very first cruise with Ryan and omg it was so much fun! We went with his family and I was the only one who’s never been on a cruise so of course I was blown away as the rest still enjoyed it but was used to it.

When Ryan went on his last cruise the year before I was invited but couldn’t make it as I was saving my time off for my England trip the following month (more on that on another journal entry). I am a big foodie and can out eat Ryan so when he told me all you can eat on a cruise I was super excited. He sent me pics of all the food he at that time and couldn’t wait till I could go on one so when it was finally my turn I was super excited for the food and can I say it didn’t disappoint! The buffets with endless food, the restaurants that kept bringing us plate after plate and even the little desert areas all around the ship that I had to stop by to grab something every time I passed by one! I was in heaven and did I mention I ate so much seafood!!! My favorite!

Our room was on the seventh floor and had a balcony with some of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. My favorite was when we woke up at 4am and saw the darkness of the ocean with another ship anchored in the distance all lit up, it was so unreal to see and the pic I took didn’t do it justice.

We explored the entire ship which was really a grand hotel on the ocean. Looking up at the glass elevators going up and down, the beautiful designs of the walls so intricately etched with butterflies and paintings and the angled staircase that went down to the floor with the shops and restaurants and eventually ends at the casino.

One of my favorite times on the ship was when we went to 70’s night all dressed up with his family in our 70’s attire and may I say Ryan looked the best! LoL! We all danced to 70’s, 80’s and 90’s music and had such a workout we sleep like babies that night.

We ported at Ensenada and hung out there for the day which was nice to stretch our legs and shop the local vendors. I bought my favorite Mexican candy Cocada which was huge and I pretty much finished it all before we boarded the ship! It’s been a while since I’ve had a really good one so I couldn’t stop! LoL!

The trip back to LA was wonderful seeing Mexico as we parted the dock. When we finally arrived back home I do gotta say I was sad! Sad that our trip was over and sad that my time with Ryan on the ship was ending but I know it’s not the last. My first cruise was amazing and Royal Caribbean didn’t disappoint!

 With Love,

Jay
